Why Shallow Feeders Work for Brachycephalic Dogs

Flat-faced breeds — brachycephalic dogs like pugs, French bulldogs, bulldogs, and Boston terriers — have difficulty reaching food in deep bowls due to their shortened snouts. Shallow slow feeder trays provide the perfect depth: easy to reach but still textured enough to slow eating, reduce gulping, and provide mental enrichment at every meal.

Sunshine at Every Mealtime

The SodaPup Sunflower eTray is a vibrant, shallow slow feeder bowl that combines beautiful garden-inspired design with science-backed enrichment feeding. The raised sunflower petals radiate from a detailed center disc, creating a full surface of varied textures — narrow petal channels, a ridged center hub, and open spaces between petals — that distribute food and force your dog to engage their nose and tongue throughout the entire meal.

The Sunflower eTray is particularly popular with owners of brachycephalic breeds who need a shallow, wide feeding surface that accommodates flat faces without frustration. It's equally well-suited to puppies building healthy eating habits and senior dogs who benefit from slower, more manageable mealtimes. Freeze with wet food, yogurt, or pumpkin puree for an extended enrichment session. The bold yellow colorway brings warmth and personality to your dog's feeding station — and the USA-made, FDA-compliant construction means you'll never have to compromise on safety.
