Why Shallow Feeders Work for Brachycephalic Dogs

Flat-faced breeds — brachycephalic dogs like pugs, French bulldogs, bulldogs, and Boston terriers — have difficulty reaching food in deep bowls due to their shortened snouts. Shallow slow feeder trays provide the perfect depth: easy to reach but still textured enough to slow eating, reduce gulping, and provide mental enrichment at every meal.

Beautiful Design, Real Function

The SodaPup Mandala eTray combines beautiful geometric design with proven slow feeding science. The layered mandala ridges and channels create dozens of small pockets that hold kibble, wet food, or soft treats — forcing your dog to use their tongue and nose to work through each groove. What takes a typical dog 30 seconds to eat now becomes a 5–10 minute enrichment session that satisfies natural foraging instincts and reduces post-meal anxiety.

Available in five vibrant colors, the Mandala eTray is as visually striking as it is functional. Made from SodaPup's signature FDA-compliant TPE, it's soft enough to be gentle on sensitive snouts and hard-tipped noses — making it a go-to enrichment tool for brachycephalic dog owners who want both safety and stimulation in a single product.
